Ecuador Challenge for Shelter
In November 2023, Capstone REPS’s very own Michael Christie (Team Lead & Sales Representative) and Lynn Weller (Sales Representative) will participate in the Ecuador Challenge for Shelter. They will be joining other Royal LePagers on a 5-day trek towards one of the highest active volcanoes in the world! During this high-altitude adventure, there will be long days of hiking across varied terrain in unpredictable mountain weather. The trekkers will be camping in a tent and going without cell service, electricity, bathroom facilities and other comforts of home. This trek will not be easy but it will be immensely worthwhile. Each step taken and every dollar raised will support courageous women and children in our community seeking safety and hope for a life free from abuse.
While this will be Michael’s first Shelter trek, Lynn has already conquered the Purcell Mountain Challenge trek in 2021. She faced tough physical and mental obstacles—traversing through varying ground conditions including shale and rocks, wildly steep inclines and declines, and air quality concerns.
Additionally, Sales Representative, Ariana Christie embraced the Challenge in the Sahara Desert. Successfully hiking 100km across difficult terrain in a hot and dry climate, with temperatures dropping considerably at night.
