Fergus, Ontario, is quickly becoming one of Ontario’s hot-spot communities due to its small town feel without the sacrifice of city convenience.

Where is Fergus, Ontario?

While it is easy to miss, you will want to check it out for its entirety. Fergus is located in Wellington County, just minutes northwest of the City of Guelph.

Some of its close towns include: Elora, Conestoga, Ariss and Rockwood. If you are travelling from Kitchener-Waterloo, enjoy the scenic back road drive, which leads you here in a short 30 minutes. On the flip side, if you are travelling from areas of the GTA, expect an hour to an hour and a half driving time.

Easily Accessible from the GTA

The best part about Fergus is its direct highway access– Highway 6 runs from parallel cities into Fergus and will continue to expand, with development plans being processed and the city’s urban expansion plan in full swing.

Fergus is one-of-a-kind in the sense that you have the surrounding feel of nature, from the mature treelines to the animal pastures, dirt roads and small-town feel to the inner city parts, where you can find newer developments and entire subdivisions.

Fergus offers this versatility that matches the lifestyle of business owners, young and old alike and will only continue to become more adaptable with the growth of new developments surrounding.

The river was drawn from as a resource for daily life and provided many opportunities for industrial development.
