Michael has had the pleasure of calling Guelph home his entire life. Born on a 100-acre horse farm, he developed a strong work ethic early in life, which he carried with him throughout high school, then on to the University of Guelph. Michael graduated with an Hon. B. Sc in Human Kinetics and a minor in business.

Michael’s entrepreneurial ambition surfaced early — at just 22, when he built a thriving property management company overseeing more than 100 commercial and residential properties in Guelph and its surrounding areas. His natural drive to create connection and community in Guelph led him to open a successful local yoga studio soon after. Both ventures reflected his ability to analyze, lead, and nurture people and opportunities — qualities that continue to define him today. After selling both companies, Michael followed in his family’s footsteps to become a proud second-generation REALTOR®.

Having grown up and living on a 40 acre farm, I understand the intricacies of country properties and the challenges they can present from zoning, to utilities, restrictions, and ongoing maintenance/management, says Michael. It felt like an inevitable choice to move my family into a country home just outside of Guelph. Here, we have the space to breathe and raise our kids in authentic ways where they can play, run and enjoy the nature around them. I am a proud dad to two twin boys and a beautiful daughter. My family is my pride and joy and setting a strong example as a father and leader is one of my missions.

I spent the majority of my early career in the community, focusing on socializing with small business owners, embracing the lifestyle benefits of downtown living and getting involved in various charity causes. Selling in a community is one thing, but knowing and living in it is another… because you’re not just speaking to an experience, you’re living it. When it comes to our team, we are all equally committed to being prominent voices in our community. We do this through hosting our annual Capstone golf tournament for shelter, supporting the Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis, The Guelph Foodbank, the Children’s Foundation and various youth sports teams in our city.
