Moving with Pets
If you’re getting ready to move, here are some quick tips to allow a more seamless transition for your pets.
Update Your Pet’s Information:
Ensure that your pet’s identification tags and microchip information are up to date with your new address and phone number.
Find a Pet-Friendly Home:
When searching for a new home, make sure it is pet-friendly and has adequate space for your pet to move around comfortably.
Research Pet Laws:
Familiarize yourself with the local bylaws and regulations regarding pets in Wellington County or surrounding areas, including leash laws, licensing requirements, and pet waste disposal rules.
Plan Ahead for Transportation:
When moving your pets, plan ahead for transportation. If you’re driving, make sure your pet is secured in a crate or carrier. If flying, choose a pet-friendly airline and book your pet’s travel well in advance.
Visit the Vet:
