Summer is quickly approaching and as the sun starts to shine, it is time to get your patio ready!

There is nothing better than having family or friends gather together in a beautiful outdoor space with a cold beverage, hot food, and a comfortable atmosphere. The drinks and food should come pretty easy, but how do you make your patio beautiful, comfortable and inviting? Here are 5 simple ways to spruce it up to make the most use out of your backyard space!

1. Add A Rug

Outdoor rugs help to create a welcoming seating area on your patio with minimal effort. You can pick a bright colour for that extra pop or something more neutral if the focus is on your furniture. Either way, outdoor rugs can withstand all the traffic and weather you may have this summer. They are durable and come in many sizes. Another plus is that it is a fairly inexpensive way to spruce up your patio!

2. Get Some Cushions!

Outdoor cushions are a MUST! Not only do they add a beautiful pop of colour, they also provide comfort at another minimal cost. Cushions make your space cozy and inviting. You can make any furniture more comfortable, inviting and beautiful with some outdoor cushions. Similar to rugs, you can choose any colour to go with your theme or your liking.

3. Make sure to Include Lighting!

Lighting ensures romance, ambiance, and a warm glow to your outdoor space. Lights also extend the amount of time that you are able to use your outdoor space. String lights, lanterns, and candles are great additions that can be added to any outdoor space.

4.  Don’t forget the storage!

Storage for cushions, candles, and odds-and-ends will help to keep your space neat and tidy. Some storage containers can even double as tables. Finding appropriate storage for large and small items will help to create a clean patio space.
